  • 3 lbs scallops
  • 2 ½ cups lemon juice
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 3 cups sliced red onion
  • ¾ cup sliced habanero or serrano chili
  • 3 cups sliced cucumber
  • ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¾ cup minced cilantro
  • Avocado to garnish
  • Morton’s sea salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • Northgate® Tostadas Caseras to serve


  1. Thinly slice the scallops and season with salt and pepper to taste. Reserve.
  2. Blend lemon juice, garlic, and apple cider vinegar.
  3. Put the sliced red onion, habanero chili, cucumber and the blender mixture in a bowl.
  4. Add a little salt and pepper, and allow to sit in the fridge for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the scallops and allow to marinate for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve in a plate, garnish with cilantro and avocado.
  7. Serve with Northgate® tostadas Casera.
