Free Diabetic Screenings and Information at Northgate
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) estimates that there are 25.8 million people living with diabetes in the United States.  Latinos and non-Hispanic blacks are at higher risk for diabetes compared to whites.  Having a close family member with diabetes and/or being overweight add to the risk.  Some people are at a very high risk of developing diabetes and they don’t know it.  Others are diabetic already and they still don’t know.
That’s why Northgate Markets partners with the American Diabetes Association to provide easy access to diabetes information at no cost to the communities we serve.  Some of the things you can expect at these monthly events include:

Blood sugar checks

Store tours that focus on the best choices to manage or prevent diabetes

Information about other diabetes-related events and/or services

Diabetic recipe books

Superb site you have here but I was wanting to know if you knew of any forums that cover the same topics discussed here? I'd really like to be a part of group where I can get responses from other knowledgeable people that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!
