ENJOY THE TASTE OF EATING HEALTHY
March is National Nutrition Month®. Remember that eating healthy can also be delicious! Eating right doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice on taste or make drastic changes to the foods you eat. For example, one way to make your rice recipes healthier is to use brown rice. Whole grains, like brown rice, quinoa, oats, barley, whole grain pasta and others, provide fiber, vitamins and minerals. The problem, most people say, is that it doesn’t cook the same as white rice. Our chef, Pablo Blanco, has shared his technique for cooking brown rice to fluffy perfection. By cooking the brown rice first and then tossing it with this simple dressing, you get burst of traditional flavors from all natural ingredients.
