Ingredients for Carne Asada:

  • 2 Lbs. of Northgate Flap Steak (Carne Ranchera)
  • McCormick Garlic Salt seasoning
  • McCormick Spicy Montreal Steak seasoning
  • 3 oranges
  • 1 onion
  • ¼ cup of Clamato
  • ½ cup of canned Modelo beer
  • Salt (as desired)

Ingredients for the Salsa:

  • 6 tomatillos (Mexican husk tomato)
  • 4 serrano peppers
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • ¼ of a chicken bouillon cube
  • 8 gotas de limón
  • ½ bunch of cilantro
  • Salt (as desired)
  • Molcajete (mortar and pestle)

Direction for the Carne Asada:

  • Squeeze juice from oranges on each steak to marinate
  • Season steaks with McCormick Garlic Salt seasoning and McCormick Spicy Montreal Steak seasoning
  • Place the steaks in a container and add beer, Clamato, and onion slices to the marinade
  • Leave marinating for an hour
  • Place on grill, and only turn each side once so that the Carne Asada doesn’t loose flavor

Directions for the Salsa:

  • Grill tomatillos, serrano peppers, and garlic
  • Grind tomatillos, serrano peppers, and garlic inside Molcajete
  • Add cilantro, desired salt, chicken bouillon, and 8 drops of lemon (do not squeeze all lemon)
  • Mix all ingredients until they are completely fused together
