Culichi Carne Asada - Semi Finalist Winning Recipe

Ingredients for Carne Asada:

  • 2 lbs. of Northgate Flap Steak (Carne Ranchera)
  • McCormick Total Seasoning for Beef
  • McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • ¼ cup of Squirt
  • 1 onion, sliced 
  • ½ cilantro bunch 
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • ½ Corona tall can of 24oz.
  • 1 tsp. of Granulated Salt 

Garnish:

  • Grilled Cactus
  • Grilled Onions

Carne Asada Preparation:

  1. Place carne ranchera in a glass bowl and season both sides with McCormick Total Seasoning for Beef and McCormick Montreal Steak seasoning
  2. Add orange juice directly and half the tall can of beer and Squirt
  3. Add sliced onions and cilantro to the marinade 
  4. Repeat previous steps until seasonings and other ingredients are finished
  5. Cover the bowl and let meat rest and marinate for 4 hours
  6. Grill meat over Kingsford Match Light charcoal
  7. Serve carne asada with grilled cactus and onions
